This visit was designed to research into the unique policies and programs of the Korea UNESCO Creative Cities, Icheon(Category: Crafts and Folk Art) and Seoul(Category: Design), to preliminarily discuss developing the Creative Cities Network of Asian.

The delegation discussed ways to cooperate on the Creative Cities Network of Asian which will be established in the near future, looking into the creative policies from the Creative City Team, Dept. of Planning and Audit of Icheon City Hall in the morning. Then they looked around the core cultural facility, Icheon Cerapia(operated by Korea Ceramic Foundation) and high-tech industrial institution, KOCEF(Korea Institute of Ceramic Eng. & Tech, Icheon Branch) in the afternoon.

The professor, Sasaki Masayuki gave his deep impression about the first visit to Icheon "I had thought that Icheon might be a small city. In addition, " If Icheon expands and develops another sectors such as media arts, music, design and cuisine with ceramic sector, I am surely convinced that Icheon will be the global creative city", the world renowned scholar said.

In the meeting with Mr. Cho Byung-don, mayor of Icheon City, the delegation decided to expand the opportunities for experiencing culture and history, sharing information with cities of two countries for the purpose of strengthening network of the area of Asian on the basis of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
